PM: Russia allocates 2 bln rbl to food transportation subsidies
MOSCOW, Feb 27 (PRIME) -- The government will additionally allocate 2 billion rubles to reduce farmers’ costs on food transportation, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said Monday.
"In order to reduce the agriculture producers’ costs on transportation, we will additionally allocate 2 billion rubles from the budget. The funds will be primarily spent on beneficial railway fees for the farmers," Mishustin said.
He said that the measure would allow the farmers to carry an additional 1 million tonnes of food. A total of more than 4 billion rubles will be spent on support of food transportation in 2023.
